Re: Fender Showmaster

but you nailed it on the head converstations about blues, blues music, and blues tone. Only people who listen to the blues will know who they are so there tone isnt as aquired like SRV..

SRV people who dont even listen to the blues know who he was and what he was about. catch my drift.. Rock guitarists model there clean and dirty off him, people try to emulate him look at John Mayer for instance hes a major pop star but he is a huge SRV tone fan, Check out his work with the John Mayer Trio he is a fantastic blues guitarist wasting his time writing stupid ballads for 12 yr old girls.

SRV and his tone are legendary and his music crossed over to other genres I cant say the same thing about the Alberts. There just blues legends and thats it.

Re: Fender Showmaster

Without the "Alberts" there is no SRV. Without the Blues there is no Rock and Roll. The "Alberts" music did cross over and effect other genres of players even more than SRV ever could or ever will .John Mayer? you think that because some dude can rip on the minor and major blues scales that he now all of a sudden is a Fantastic blues guitarist? Thats funnier than your comment about JImmy page's tone being mediocre at best. Oh well, we cant all feel the same about music can we? I will say though that it's been fun talking about the music part of music with you and not just the GEAR.

That's correct. When SRV quit school at young age to dedicate fully to guitar, he stated that "all he wanted was to play guitar like Albert Collins".

I played one and the neck felt weird.
If you really want the Jimmy Page sounds just buy a regular Tele like we mentioned last time, or a Les Paul and break your left hand and play away.
Are they Korean made all of them?

André

There used to be the USA series which were running below $2000 US. That was until last year if I'm not mistaken. Now, the only USA model is the Showmaster Elite which is $2000 US.
