Fernandes Revolver Pro

Can someone review this guitar for me please, i was thinking about buying this guitar instead of a jem ( i know, stupid, but pricewise, its all that i can do.) can someone review the feel of the neck and the sustainer system that is included. no, i do not want comparisons to a jem... i just want to know how the guitar plays.

Re: Fernandes Revolver Pro

I have the seven string version and I like it a lot. Ive had it for either a year or two. (Cant remember) The sustainer is awesome and from what Ive messed with I think I like the response of the Fernandes units over the other brand(s) In terms of construction its actually a well build guitar for the money. Im not overly nuts of the rosewood board (its typical for a guitar of that pricerange) but otherwise its a killer deal. The tremelo shocked me with its quality. Its a licensed Floyd but its actually one of the better ones Ive tried. Tonally its actually suprisingly good. I might change the stock bridge pickup to get a tad more agressive but its actually fairly decent.

Hope this helps a little

Re: Fernandes Revolver Pro

7 string? Can you post picture? Where did you buy it from?
I have a 6 string Revolver Pro and am pleased as punch. Unfortunately the only gripes i have is that it has 22 frets (early model!), trem bar keeps falling out and thts it.

Re: Fernandes Revolver Pro

I bought the Revolver Pro 81 a few months back and I think it's one of the best metal guitars I've ever played. Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. First EMG pickup I ever heard that is worth a damn, and the sustainer is off the chain! Duel octave. I'll probably get grief for saying this but the Floyd Rose on that guitar is the best and tightest I've ever played. I've owned a Jem 7VHW and this bridge is every bit as good if not better in my opinion.

The only complaint that I had, and I'm used to it now, is that it's hard to improve on an Ibanez neck for speed. The neck is a bit fatter than an RG, S or Jem, so that took some getting used to but I'm over it. This is one of the best guitars I ever bought, and for the money, it probably IS the best.

Re: Fernandes Revolver Pro

I've had a dark green '90s Fernandes Revolver Pro for over two years now. Got it from Austin/Craigslist for $100. The sustainer didn't work, so I figured out the problem and fixed it! After a few adjustments to the trem arm and intonation tweaks, it is a Gem! The sustainer takes this guitar out of Normal and into Stellar! Just picked up a Blue(ish) Fernandes Dragonfly Pro from about the same year for $125. That guitar is a bit less-than overall, but the single-coil sustainer is going into a bright orange project strat! Mmmhmmm!
