a few pics of simple custom ideas

i replaced the pups in the '76 re-issue Explorer w/ a JB/'59 combo. they compliment the mahogany body and set neck so well. i decided to match the guard of my USA '00 Tele w/ the Explorers' guard. i haven't changed the pups in the Tele.. yet. i plan to put a hot rails or 1/4 pounder in the bridge and leave the neck pup for now. any feedback on these two pups would be appreciated.
scroll forward thru the pics to see both guitars.

i tried to group a few "before and after" shots of both guitars. i'll have to get a few pics of them together. i really need to get some better shots but i just had to show them. please excuse some of the dust in the shots. enjoy!

Woa, nice collection man!

Nice pickguards on the Explorer and Tele. They add more "ooomp", a little step further

I'm a big fan of the Quarter Pounder telecaster bridge pickup, so much so that I'm considering getting a used RG550 and making a new scratchplate for it, cut in a telecaster configuration with a set of Quarter Pounders. It's very versatile and cuts through really well.

the problem with that is, the RG won't have the pickup installed into the bridge plate, which is a key component of the signature Tele 'twang.'
