Finally got around to taking some pics of my RG7CT

Easily the best Ibby 7 I've landed so far.
I had the neck sstripped and gunstock oiled and the OFR trem arm mod (swap)
there is a set of Painkillers in there now but the bridge is going to get a Rebel Yell in there shortly.

Re: Finally got around to taking some pics of my RG7CT

Did you ever do an indepth comparison between the CT VS CST?
I'd be intrested to know besides the Peizo and the Ebony if they did anything different on these (IE the frets look bigger on the CST)

Nick, I think the biggest difference is the neck shape. There is definitely more "shoulder" on the CST. I thought at first that this was due to it being 1 piece as opposed to the 3-piece. This is not the case though when comparing the 1-piece of the CST to the 1-piece of my 7620. At any rate, the shoulder of the neck contour is way more pronounced on the CST compared to all my other Ibby 7's (4 others). Also, the neck doesn't feel like it has any finish on it at all and I really like that. So on the CST if feels as though it's a wider fretboard but it's not. It doesn't bother me at all though. Kind of like the difference in fret size. I know some are very picky about their fret sizes. Like my friend, he won't touch a guitar unless it has Huge jumbo frets. That's his thing. He'll ask me all the time, what's the fret size? I'm the type that I usually reply, "hell I don't know, meds, jumbo..." Fret size has never really mattered much to me and I can't feel it like some can. He'll play my guitars and go...ahh..these frets are too small, or "these are just right". Me, I think they all feel perfect!
I do know that this spring I have to take the CST in so I can have a proper leveling and dressing done to them. They're by no means wore out but about what my 7620 was. a couple small grooves here and there. The luthier I work with only charges me 30.00 bucks to level and dress em so I figure, what the hell. The other main difference comes down to the fretboard (no brainer there). It REALLY adds a punch to the lower end of the guitar and the guitar itself "sounds" better, Even when unplugged. You know how when you're not plugged in and strum a chord, the CST just is much louder than both the CT's and it sustains much longer. Hope that helps...and also hope that doesn't feed your GAS for one too awful bad! At any rate, aside from what I mentioned, they are pretty much identical guitars in fit and finish. After all, they were made from the same batch of CT's I believe.

Re: Finally got around to taking some pics of my RG7CT

thanks Tim,
I'm one of those guys that likes big frets too, not huge but 6100 wire is what I'm used to.
My CT's neck is gunstock oiled, I like em more raw feeling.
