Re: Finished Mikro RG....

it looks awesome!

but it would look even better with some holographic dinosaur and baseball stickers slapped on it.

how did you get that paintjob? did you use spray paint to finish it yourself, or did you have it professionally done?

Re: Finished Mikro RG....

Did it myself with rattle cans. I really tried to talk her into a DY or LG....I wanted to kind of make it a mini-Jem. Since this is her guitar though, I finished it the way she wanted. The pictures really don't do the color justice. Put that baby in the sun and it becomes the brightest orange I think I've ever seen!

Re: Finished Mikro RG....

That's sweet!! I so wish the Mikro's would have been around earlier. Had to buy my daughter a Squire mini when she started...

Re: Finished Mikro RG....

Good job man But if you can change the trem to black it'd be nicer.

Re: Finished Mikro RG....

First....The body is Mahogany (if you can believe it!). Second, I did shred test it tonight after re-stringing, although with the smaller scale, the frets are pretty close together! . If I can find a black bridge for it I will (its fixed, not a trem). Once she starts to get the hang of playing, I'll get her some decent pickups for it. The only complaint I have for this guitar are the tuners. Everything is great except for those so I plan on taking my tuners off my S to see if I can put regular gotohs on for her. For a short scale entry guitar, this thing kicks butt! Even the stock pickups aren't too bad (for her).

Re: Finished Mikro RG....

In the pic of it next to the window with primer it looks textured like you used some kind of fiber mesh or something.... or is the sun just shining through the curtain or something?
