First Guitar buy of 2008!

I had the chance on this guitar a few weeks back in the UK but the guy was asking quite a bit more than I wanted to pay for it, anyways, it turned up on the Bay and I got it for a great deal . It is a Caparison Horus in Iris Violet which is in mint condition.

It is still with the seller right now, once it comes over to me I will have it fully set up.

Is that another buy from Meestersparkle? He's got some good prices at times.

Yeah, but none of his guitars are setup properly.

Nice score, PAW. Is that a SD Hot Rails in the neck?

It is indeed with a Caparison BH-2R in the bridge.

The fact that it's not set up isn't a problem, I got it at a brilliant price.

Looking forward to comparing it with Ibby's and Strats. Man, I really thinned out last year, I need to make up for some.

That is a stunning guitar

Beautiful finish. I love the inlays too. Only thing is, I'm not too keen on the Caparison headstocks.
How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking.

Re: First Guitar buy of 2008!

Very nice score. I have a Snow Cloud with a hot rails in the neck, and a JB/Custom 5 hybrid in the bridge.

You're probably going to find that you won't like the BH-2R very much. If not, I've got a PH-R sitting here that will be a drastic improvement.

Re: First Guitar buy of 2008!

That looks interesting. Is the board wide or is it just the way it looks in the photo?

Anyway, it looks good.

Re: First Guitar buy of 2008!

No, the boards on these are actually nice and narrow. 42 mm nut.

These guitars have killer necks, and are awesome to play all the way to about the 15th fret.

Nice and meaty neck, and the 24 3/4 scale is pretty comfortable even though it's a 27 fretter.
