First Prestige, Binding Flaws?

So I just got my first Prestige, an RGR652AHBF. I like the guitar and I've never owned an Ibanez or any electric that didn't have a clear coat. My question is, are these flaws in the binding minimal enough to be expected in a Prestige? It doesn't affect play obviously, and it's not noticeable from afar, but it still seems odd to me.

This is pretty much the level of attention to detail you should expect from Ibanez MIJ/Prestige that aren't Artist/Artstar. It's an Ibanez not PRS, Suhr, Anderson, etc. Enjoy the new axe.

I don't see a lot of Prestige's, so I don't know what their current level of quality is as a whole. I personally would expect better than that and would try to swap it for another. Those RGR's are like $1500 right? Ought to get a good paint job for $1500.

$1299 or less FWIW they cost less than an indo JEM. Ibanez ships whatever passes thru Fujigen QC & unless a picky dealer refuses the axe the customer gets it or a discount if negotiated. You see an uneven binding on the ones Rich accepted

Hmm, maybe has something to with that weathered black finish on the open grain ash body. I’d still prefer it didn’t have it at all, but it’s just my opinion as to what I expect from a Prestige.

I really like the look of those when they have a nice pattern in the wood grain. Like to see one in the same stain as the PWM.

I guess Ibanez will just continue to blur the lines between Prestige and Premium until one day nobody gives a crap anymore.

That's paint bleed under the binding tape and no way I'd accept it, and never have.

So if I return and buy from you, I'll get a model without flaws like this?
