Fishman TSV Powerbridge vs Schaller Floyd
Does anybody have experience with the Fishman TSV Powerbridge (their vintage style 2 point tremolo)? I'm debating whether to use one or to go with a Schaller Lockmeister with locking tuners but no locking nut (I can't stand them). Tonally, how is the Fishman compared to Schaller, Gotoh, Hipshot, and Fender 2 point trems? How will it tonally differ from a Floyd Rose? I don't use Floyds that often on my guitars that have them... I do crazy dive bombs here and there for fun but could live without them. I use it for vibrato every once in a while but usually use finger vibrato. I mainly bend with my fingers as well (do some blues bends that normally send my Floyds out of tune) but I do use the Floyd sometimes for scoops and slurring passages.
I'm having a custom guitar built and I'm trying to decide whether I can live without the Floyd or not. The guitar is going to have piezo saddles, so I'm limited in my choice of bridges- Schaller Floyd, Fishman TSV, Gotoh VS-100 (the piezos aren't as good on this model), and Tune-o-Matic with string through construction.... Tone is very important to me, but so is functionality. I think given my playing style the Fishman may be the compromise I'm looking for.
