Floyd Rose copies

If a guitar (mine is a Jackson K10 Pro) has a tremolo that says "licensed under Floyd Rose patents" and nothing else, it is a copy of an original Floyd Rose, right? I need to get a new bushing for the tremolo arm and I'm not sure what to get and where to get it either. I could buy a new tremolo arm, but it kind of defeats the purpose when having to buy a new trem arm every time you need a bushing for a guitar.

Great, thanks for the reply.

I see that bushings come with a plastic piece of course, but also these little screws. What exactly do the screws do and how does it fit into place on the tremolo?

Now I've got to find somewhere to get these...

I believe I was looking at the wrong thing and was looking at a bushing set for the actual tremolo and the screws fit into the body of the guitar and the entire tremolo sets on it. What I need is just the little plastic/rubber piece for the tremolo arm itself and nothing else I think. I can find a tremolo arm or 2 and it comes with bushings, but I should be able to find just the little plastic piece that goes onto the tremolo arm where you screw it into the hole on the tremolo. Ibanezrules has some but they aren't for Floyd Rose trems.

I have no idea what to do.

Re: Floyd Rose copies

I also think that with Floyd Rose arms, it's a little different. It doesn't really look like the bushings for other trems, it looks like another metal piece or something... Not sure if I should just buy another trem arm or look for that little piece somewhere.

Re: Floyd Rose copies

This is a regular tremolo arm and is kind of what mine looks like:

And if you compare it with this picture, you can see that there is a little piece that goes onto the end of it where it screws into the trem:

I need the little thing that goes onto the end of it that's in the 2nd pic and I don't know where to find some. I don't even know if it's called a "bushing" or what it is, but I don't even know if they sell them separately or if I'll have to just buy a completely new tremolo arm. If that's the case, I need a good cheap place to buy on.

I just took some pics. Here is the trem arm that I have:

And here is a closeup of end:

You can see that compared to the 2nd picture in this post that there is a little piece missing off of the end of it and I'm not sure what it's called, if you can buy them separately or if I'll have to just buy a new trem arm.

My arm has this piece on it:

But not this piece:

And I need it (I take it that it's some kind of bushing to keep it from flying around and to make it stable.)

Agreed. Sorry, I can't help you, but I want to commend you on what a respectable job you did of describing the problem. If someone here knows, you're definetally likely to get a good response now.
