Yup it can be done ... And for that advice i claim my prize of the old trem ;-)

Seriously tho,It should fit without much of a problem,i had a schaller floyd on an old rg4xx series,of course it has an edge now

Claim your prize? Thats a new one.
Its a good idea though, whenever you give advice you get a reward!!

If that was the case people like Jeremy and Rich would have loads of rewards!

I see that a OFR has the saddle lock screws protruding out more than a schaller?

maybe i should go with the schaller?

I almost sure that either will drop in without much ado,But like i said I did have schaller version,So maybe best to go that option first off

How 'low-profile' is the Schaller? The thing that I've always liked about Ibanez trems is there Low profile (duh!)

be sure to check the block depth. And the Schaller and OFR have different footprints, and I think the OFR will actually fit in the rout better. But they both have that weird assymmetric wing problem, so you'll get more of a gap on one side, and less on the other.

Here's mine(not an OFR):

Notice the knife edge inserts are typical Edge shape, instead of the round OFR shape. And it of course has the non-lo profile setup so it's not the TRS. [/img]

I was thinking about robbing my jackson for the floyd rose..i think it has the smaller type. Is it really a better deal than the trs? I dont use it really that much though. Worth the swap or should i just get a duncan invader for the bridge?
