Fret markers alignment and symmetry important?

Hi I have several guitars throughout the brands and have noticed that other than my Ibanez's most other brands got their fret markers asymmetrical in between the D and G strings. It seems like this topic is seldom or never discussed.

Other than being personally bothered by it. Does it bother anyone whether if their fret markers are entered between the D and G strings? Would it affect the guitar's value at all? Is it a show of shoddy workmanship?

Fret markers are a nice way to check string/fret ends alignment. Maybe the problem is not with the markers but with bridge/neck heel joint?

I've never heard of anyone ever even mentioning how centered their fretmarkers are. How odd.

You are right my friend. Thank you for such a logical explanation for it.

But I have 2 of my guitars. On the folk guitar as you've said the neck is tilted thus causing the fret markers to be inbalanced/misaligned to the D and G strings. Whereas on the Schecter the set neck is dead on but it's just the fret markers that are off to the right.

Both guitars play fine and I'm sure there are quite a number of guitars out there that are like that just wondering what are people's thoughts on this?

On my RG550RFR the fret markers are spot on.

I've never given this consideration until I read this thread.

So I went and checked my guitars. Every single one of my Ibanez guitars looks dead in the middle. My poor Fender strat, not so much. The cheapo Yamaha acoustic, right on the money.
