True, but the Destroyer, Iceman, and Fireman guitars probably moreso due to their odd body shapes.

To be honest, just because it's chinese-made doesn't mean it's crap... My ags83 is flippin' amazing, and it's chinese made. It plays and sounds better than a 94 LP special and a few 335s i've played

From a quality control point of view MIC doesn't bother me. The only thing is that living in Japan means I get better "value" on made in Japan domestic products. Still, I got a killer deal on my vox AC15C1 new and that was made in China by a Japanese owned company (korg). Maybe I'll be able to pick up one of these bad boys for a song when stores blow them out in a year or so. I saw a brand new pgm401 being blown out at 40% of ibanez.jp list price a couple of weeks ago. Not a huge fan of that model though.

I wish they'd come back out with the PGM301. I was dumb not to get one when they were readily available and I had the coin. If Paul is abandoning the RG-style guitar or doesn't play the 301 to spec, then maybe Ibanez should release it without the f-holes.

Iconic Ibby for sure.. I remember seeing that fixed bridge on the proto for the 1st time in a guitar mag pic and scratching my head. I wouldn't be surprised to see him break it out live for a song or 2 with Mr. Big.
