Funny how things work... (ngd)

Bought this to replace a similar China made hollow body that I left at my ex-girlfriend's house and have no intention of retrieving...

2008 AJD71T

I mean, I have a lot of expensive MIJ Ibanez's and I generally don't do the NGD threads, but man, I just love this thing! This will be the third MIChina Ibanez I've owned, and I've had serious love affairs with all of them. I can't figure out what it is...

And at $340 shipped with a sweet case, I couldn't be happier

Re: Funny how things work... (ngd)

I just got a Premium RG that was made in Indonesia and find it to be one of the best guitars I have ever had. Could it be that the Indonesians, Chinese, Koreans and Mexicans that are building guitars these days take just as much pride in their work as do their American counter-parts? I think so and that is probably the reason why such beautiful, awesome playing instruments are coming here for us to enjoy. YOur guitar is beautiful and is high on my list of future purchases after an Iceman and a Fireman. Play it like you stole it

Haha, I think that last thing you said is a big part of the appeal. I could beat the crap out of it and I wouldn't be out much. And I love that I can have a hollow body without the classic hollow body shape, which I'm not a fan of. Perfect for playing unplugged in a chair at 3am, and since it's cheap I just leave it in the living room so it's always nearby.

I can't say the same about the Premiums, I had a pair of RG1XXV's and didn't like them at all, although maybe I didn't give them a fair chance, only played one of them for a few minutes...
