g-string slipping

hey, the g-string ON MY GUITAR keeps going flat when i use the whammy bar. I have an rg1570, and i've made sure the nut and saddle weren't loose or anything. It always seems to go flat when i divebomb, and very flat if i pull up after that. what's going on? Thanks

Re: g-string slipping

Hmm perhaps that one spot is flat.

be careful though, if you nut is to tight you will bust ur g-string. Im pretty sure no one wants to see that happen now.

Re: g-string slipping

haha no, i don't believe anyone would want that. But what do you mean that one spot may be flat? I always tune all the strings until they are all correct, lock it down and it works and stays flat fine....until i use the whammy bar. Then the g-string goes flat.

Re: g-string slipping

positive, i've actually tightened it so much i was worried about getting it back out. So i don't see how that could have slipped. Is there anyway to tell tho? because it does have a unwound and wound string in the same nut, so they are farthest from being similar size of all the pairs. Is it possible for it to be slipping w/ it tightened so much?
