Question Getting GAS for an ESP, opinions?

I'm *seriously* tempted with one of these:

http://www.espguitars.ru/esp_horizon_fr-II.html

Anyone own one? I got to play one a little while ago VERY briefly. I'm just worried that if I don't like it that it'd be a struggle to get a decent resale price on it. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't these Korean built? I'm no snob when it comes to different production countries, but sinking £1K into a MIK guitar is a little worrying.

I'm just wondering what people think of them. I seem to remember it was a very solid axe?

Re: Getting GAS for an ESP, opinions?

Man me too!! The same blue one too, Idk I haven't played any "real" ESP other than a kamikaze and it was sweet but I'm sure it is different than the horizon. My local stores always have LTD's coming out every hole you can find >_<

If it is MIK then I'd consider getting an Edwards from ikebe

Yeah this is it, trying to find somewhere that has these in stock to try out is a pain.

Stunning looking guitar though

Thumbs up Re: Getting GAS for an ESP, opinions?

They are killer guitars mate!!! anything ESP brand is high end and made in Japan. They are a bit pricy but believe me they are worth it.

Agreed Davey, got a Horizon myself. Top quality mate, as good as any USA Jackson I've owned. Mine's black (boring, I know) and has Bareknuckle pups in it. Awesome guitar!

Re: Getting GAS for an ESP, opinions?

Man, i have the FR-II in DBSB and they are killer instruments... TOP quallity and Japan made...
Actually they are the top of the line, i mean they are better made than my M-II Deluxe, but i prefer the M-II's neck

I am trading mine if you r intrested... The only reason is that i dont play it at all cause i like better the little frets and the thinner necks on my M-II and my Parker Fly...

Re: Getting GAS for an ESP, opinions?

I hope to get a real ESP in the future. Near, far, anytime as long as I get one If i got a KH model I'd get one with flamed top, I hate taking care of straight up black guitars.

It's the skull and bones that sold me. I always wanted one of those since I was a kid.
