Gilbert models

I haven't seen much on this forum about gilberts models. His neck is is a bit thicker than a Wizard I understand, is it still flatter than a Wizard II? Is it just a RG 570 with better pickups and are there any models like the Jem555 that I should stay away from?

the 2003 and onwards pgm 30's are'nt bad, since they upgraded the trem to a edge pro rather than the old lo-trs thing

I believe they were MIJ for a couple of years, even when they came with the Lo TRS. That was weird!

Now they come with the Edge Pro, and are still being produced in Japan.

even with pickup rings and rosewood board, a 30 sounds like a bargain at half what the 300 costs... just needs real pickups
