Question go for 7?

hey guys ive been playing 6 string for 2 years and want to buy a 7 but in order to do that id have to sell my (rg370) six-string, i have an epi sg (my 1sst gitar) witch is a 6 buy i barely ever play it, so iw as wondering if i should buy the 7 and play it exclusively or would you guys reccomend playing both equally? , im not sure because ive never owned a 7 and only played it in the shop and it was beautiful (rg 1527) advice is appreciated

thanks

Re: go for 7?

Well some folks actually play thier 7 strings exclusively, but you can always play them both equally. It's really a personal preference which you have to decide on after you get your first 7 string. I know that for me, when I got my Universe I was playing on that more than anything else but then I kinda realized that when I was playing out I didn't need to always need the 7th string because everyone else thought it was too low. By that time I kinda amassed something like 20+ guitars so I kinda decided to cycle through all my guitars at each gig so my wife wouldn't think I was wasting money on guitars.

Re: go for 7?

My first 7 was an RG 7620 that I still own today, I bought it 8 years ago and it still plays great. They are great guitars and you can find great deals on them. Look around. By the way, swing on by www.sevenstring.org when you get a chance.......:-)
