Got a great offer!

Hello!

Got a great offer on a used RG-570 with an Evolution Bridge humbucker.
I donīt have any experience with this pickup..
How does it sound when compared the standard pickups?
Anyone played a RG-570 with the Evolution?

Thanks!

I personally liked the Evo 6 string p/u. But that was like..3 or 4 years ago last I used it. My ears have changed so much I doubt I would anymore. Now my tone is a much more full massive tone whereas from what I remember, I liked the EVO because it really cut through the mix. But you wouldn't be able to play heavy heavy stuff. It was to thin and concentrated on highs and mids. But...my first statement was that I liked it. So all I probably did was just confuse you...hehe...

...one thing I know for sure...if you like REAL shredding, 95% chance you'll LOVE the evo...

Loud, punchy, aggressive and bright. I agree, not for heavier music. Shredder's delight ;-)

RE:

Thanks for the input!
Well..I play Heavy music. If the Evolution is too thin sounding, what pickup would you recommend that is tight, and aggressive sounding?
I believe that itīs smart to go for a pickup that isnīt too bright
( the guitar is bright/thin sounding), but defined since Iīm tuning low..

had one in my 550, which is like having one in a Jem, kinda...loved it.

it's a billion times better than the stock crap, no matter what style you're playing.
