I could take some more if you like; any particular angles?

I've restrung with Elixir 12s now, and it sounds better than ever. Next step is a pair of jazz humbuckers, a superswitch and some funky wiring.

I played one today. It sounded great, very sturdy. However, the set-up was pretty shoddy - the strings were extremely high off the neck, especially on the higher frets. I'm sure they're not all like that though, and hopefully it's something that could be fixed, but it looked like the bridge was as low as it could go.

Aside from that little niggle, it really did feel like a quality axe, and you've gotta love that chunky headstock volute.

I think that's a setup issue, though it'd still be off-putting. Mine isn't as low as on the Talman or RG, but it feels better that way, to be honest. I do need to adjust things a little since switching to the 12s - if only Elixir did 13s...

I'm working on them, honest... I'm just really, really bad at working a camera. So far they've all been rather fuzzy...

This post is a little late in the game but Im getting one of these soon (you gotta custom order the mo'fo'). Impossible trying to find legitamate feedback so Im looking here. I want to see pics, maybe some clean/dirty clips? That would rock. The MM1 in this post looks alot different than the one I tried.

Seeing as this has resurfaced, I might as well post pics. I've since taken the stock humbuckers out and replaced them with a Humbucker From Hell and PAF Pro, and put a 5-way Superswitch in place of the 3-way standard one.

Let me get this straight, you put a HFH in the neck position of a 28" neck-thru mahogany guitar..?
Not trying to sound like Jimi playing this, are you??

Who?

The stock pickups aren't bad, but they're a bit more mellow and "chimey" than I wanted - I was after maximum clean defintion. The HfH seems ace in the neck, and the PAF Pro sounds very nice and woody in the bridge. I'd definitely suggest the HfH as ideal for the MMM, but there might be better options for the bridge. I like the sound...

Oh, and the stock pickups went into my girlfriend's Cort M200, and they sound absolutely cracking there. Excellent stuff.

Different by color of the wood and the prominent edge around the body seemes less sharp. Maybe its just the picture. Hey dot dot dot, is it possible to take off the pickup rings and mount directly to the wood or is the cavity too deep? Also, what are you stringing it with as far as gauges? What are you tuning it to? Thanks for da info.

I'm using Elixir 12s, tuned C-C, but thinking of switching to the baritone set to get more tension on the low strings.

As for the cavities, I don't remember them being particularly deep, but they are wide-ish to fit the covered pickups.

I'm still tempted to get a MMM and shave the body down to Radius contours.
