I'm using Elixir 12s, tuned C-C, but thinking of switching to the baritone set to get more tension on the low strings.

As for the cavities, I don't remember them being particularly deep, but they are wide-ish to fit the covered pickups.
I caught some flak over on the Meshuggah forum for wanting to tune to drop C or drop B. Thats ok. How do the strings feel tuned c to c?

Pretty nice; a little more tension than the 10s on my RG and Talman, but that might be from the fixed bridge as well (feel rather than "tension", I suppose). I need to tweak the truss rod a little; there's a bit of buzz.

The standard strings (11-64, I think) were fine B-B. As I think I mentioned, I'm considering the Elixir baritone set for B-B, but I like the wound 3rd in the 12s...

Right now Im using 11-70 on my Gibson tuned to drop C in order to maintain the tension I like. I figure with a baritone I can use a lighter string gauge and get the nice tight feel. I do however like the strings a little loose on the higher strings for the occasional wanking haha

Not really, think of how many bands do that (Godsmack and Metallica off the top of my head)

With the strings im using it sounds and feels great. I kinda want to avoid a 070 for a low string. A 060 grinds better.
