Smile Got a new RG!

I recently got a new RG350DX and I love it! Its a bit of a step up from my GAX70 which I bought when I first started to play (the GAX has treated me well and I love it even though it is a beginners guitar). But anyway, the trem on the RG350DX works well. When I divebomb, it returns to the same pitch every time. When I pull up, it returns to the same pitch every time. However, there is a slight problem. The pitch it returns to when I divebomb is different than the one it returns to when I pull up. Any ideas on what I could do about this? Thanks so much in advance for any replies!

The guitar is new right? If it were used I would say maybe the knife edges need to be sharpened.

I don't know that there's really much that you CAN do about it, assuming that the trem is in good working order and you've properly stretched your strings. I would say to just keep working it so that the springs are good and broken in since it's a new guitar and then maybe lube up the knife edges a bit to reduce friction.

How you have your strings wound on the tuning pegs is irrelevant since you have a locking nut, assuming it is locked.

Since it's a new guitar, I'd give it some time to be broken in. It may be that the strings are not settled yet and/or the tremolo springs aren't settled yet. Remember that when you pull up, you are stretching the strings which will cause them to go out of tune until they are stretched several times until they are stable.
