Graphic Project, Which One?

OK, so I am embarking on my next project and I think I want to do another graphic. These are the ideas Ive been toying with. Although they may not be the exact size or placement on the guitar, its probably close. I ask you Jemsite, which should I make.....

1)Clockwork RG

2)Broken Earth RG

3)Carnage RG

4)Shattered RG

5)Medusa's Kiss

6)Plasma

Plasma or Medusa. The medusa one is intriguing to look at and well placed. My buddy just walked past when the clockwork one was up and said 'Oh, Rush' which may or may not help your decision!

Good luck with whichever one you choose!

in addition, you may want to make the plasma bigger, so it would not leave an empty spot in the back.

Yep, my favorites as well, although the Medusa needs to be simplified a bit.

One thing I'll tell you to avoid is anything that looks like an obvious poster printed out, stuck to the guitar and cleared over. I see a lot of guitars on eBay like this. There are two main problems with it:

1. The artwork is too perfect and obviously a poster, rather than an artist's work. I think you could get around this by using Photoshop to soften edges and make the picture look more "airbrush like".

2. The image is far too confusing and busy for a guitar, so nothing in the image really stands out. Think about the best 80's graphic guitars. The image on them was obvious even at a quick glance in a music video. The "Clockwork" one suffers from this especially.

I agree with the spacing here, these were just thrown together quickly for effect. Ideally on the Plasma my vision would be to have the end points all along the edge of the guitar body, but once again, I need someone with better photo manipulation skills than I posses.

I kind of dig the sharpness and detail in the graphics. To me it points towards modern technology vs. the 80's painted graphic. Don't get me wrong, obviously, I love the old USCG's I snag them up when I can.

I'm not up on using photoshop so I guess I would have to compare a "softened" version to see if I liked it.

Re: Graphic Project, Which One?

They're all pretty cool. If it were me, I'd throw out anything that's already been done......

The plasma looks too much like Phil Collen's Adrenalize Jackson

The Shattered Glass look has been done everywhere

The clockwork is awesome, but too much like an RG-TIME

Of the rest, I really dig Medusa although I think "Carnage" could be awesome with a black sky instead of orange

"Broken Earth" would also be really cool if you could add a lava like glow in some, but not all, of the cracks.

Re: Graphic Project, Which One?

It's interesting how the folks at SSO have a completely different view as to which to build.

They seem to be all over the Broken Earth and Carnage........cool.
