I have been lucky as far as finding good auctions this year. I won an auction for. 1992 Greco WP-380 Wild Pecker, ( yes I'm not making that up). Made at Fugijen at same time frame as they made the RV -470 for Ibanez, and the similarities are obvious.
Weird thing, I tried to buy this exact guitar 8 or 9 years ago in pieces in a box from a collector who purchased a lot of gear and guitars from a bankrupt guitar custom shop, (I think it was Kramer but there were no more details). Then a week or so ago, I saw the neck and body for sale separately and made an offer and won them. Afterward, they offered the rest of contents of that box, the cavity plate, trem, tuners, wiring harness, etc, but I had plans for this guitar and I let them go.
So It is becoming my Andy Timmons model backup, I have the Dimarzio AT 1 in bridge, and Dimarzio Cruisers in mid and neck, Wilkinson VSVG tremolo, Gotoh Magnumm Locks, and it plays like dream.
Here's a pic with one of its cousins, the Ibanez RG-470. It also has had the Dimarzio AT-1 installed, and a Dimarzio Eric Johnson in the neck.
A have played a lot of the great quality Greco's, Spacey Sound, and Mirage, and some that were garbage, MIK. In my opinion, the majority of the Mij models are as good as the Ibanez counterparts.
