guitar I'm building modeled after an ibanez musician
top is 1/2" thick bookmatched bastogne, body is nearly 1 1/2" thick sapele. I wanted the sapele to stick out on the bottom. I'll be cutting the body and tapering the body this weekend. I used a damp towel to show a bit of the grain, should look better then that when finished with nitro.

body still has a ways to go but check out this sick grain...this is just water on it...

Wood looks nice, but it isn't exactly large enough for the body.

I designed this to have the walnut tapered into the sapele, I'll keep updating this thread so you can see what I'm talkin about.

I sanded for about 3-4 hours by hand and here is where it's at now. I still have to get the inside of the horns and the area between the walnut and sapele is gunna need some attention...then of course carving to get some lines. I'll wait untill I have the body ready for routing before I add anymore pics.
