Which Guitar of These Two

I have a Jem and a G&L, both pricey guitars. I'm looking for a WHITE guitar to set up for playing some instrumental shows and will have it tuned to Drop-D or standard. I think the Jackson fretwork is as good as any I've played, the Ibanez is ok since it is not a Jap model.

Ibanez because....it's Ibanez. Not to mention the fact that it has a fixed bridge.

The fixed bridge will be really easy to tune. You'll be able to change tuning even during the show. If you've played both, get the one that feels better.

Personally, I'd take the Jackson. I love Ibanez (obviously), but if it were my choice, I'd go with the DK2M no question.

The Jackson.
Purely because its a better quality guitar. With better stock parts. It comes stock with Seymour Duncans for a start, so no need for a pickup change.

So out of those 2 its no contest, the Jackson.

Out of those two? Go for the Jackson. The Ibanez is a bit "Tesco Basics", if you know what I mean... which you probably don't...

Yeah, get the Jackson.

That's not necessarily a good thing.

I would personally, overall, go for the Jackson in this case. I've played this model before and IMO it's a lot of guitar for the money.

The Jackson - it would look better with the black binding on the Ibanez

What are the Jackson licensed Floyds like?

Re: Which Guitar of These Two

I'd simply say do you need to Whammy? If you do there's only realy one choice

Assuming you don't or you wouldn't be cosnidering that Ibanez, I'd probably go for the fixed bridge guitar, it's easier to keep on playing if you break a string, or go from drop d to standard tuning far more easily.

Re: Which Guitar of These Two

unless dun use the trem go for the jackson. but if u do, the jt 580 is well **** to mi at least. all it takes is one dive bomb and it will go out of tune. its not as bad as the trs but the stability well lets put it these way is nothin great. but im not sure about this model. if it came with an ofr go for it.
