yeah, polaris, i saw the pics of rikk's axes on eddie's site, ibut i was wondering if anyone else has gotten work done from eddie, other than rikk and butch . his prices can't be beat-especially for an ibanez body(he's in the same price league as warmoth with the same if not better routing options for the working man). i just wanted more reviews to boost my confidence.
BTW, are you the same polaris20 that's on the line6 forums?

Oh, I'm listening Can't NOT hear you, Brian Kidding!

I'll tell you. I have been getting increasing amounts of orders and I have to thank everyone! Especially those in the beginning for putting their trust in me. I love doing this! So many have good ideas. I want to keep each one Sadly, I can't. I understand I have been a little slow in my replies lately, but that is because I am working til late evenings making sure everything is done and done right.

(mods: if you feel this is a plug, please edit accordingly)

js bodies

eddie, i am curious, too.
radius bodies were always awesome to me, but ibanez never made them with 2 hums and a 5 way...that's where you come in.

Here is the official word as Eddie gave it to me on the JS bodies...

I am still drawing it up in 3D and locating a CNC machinist locally. I plan on a 6 and 7 string version ;-) I will make it as close to replica as I can. The naked eye won't tell a difference.

The JS style body is tough. I am working on a 6 and 7 string version (oddly enough, I get a lot of requests for a JS7). I will not make it available until I get it right. Only fair for you, the buyer When it is ready, you will all know. I'm just as excited about it as anyone else

Brian..you are QUICK!!!

That's great news!

I'm thinking of a JS-7 with the following specs:

- oiled mahogany body with AANJ
- maple neck, pau ferro or ebony fretboard (no inlays)
- matching mahogany headstock overlay
- fixed bridge
- GraphTech FAAS piezo saddles
- locking Sperzels or Gotohs
- Duncan Jazz (neck) and JB (bridge); direct-mounted

Like Joe's? Sounds very similar, with the obvious exception of the piezos.

I always thought the JS body was very comfy. Hmm...in addition to a custom JEM/UV maybe I will have to get a JS custom from EKG/LGM/Guns Girls Guitars???

While we're laying it all out here...Eddie, have you done (or considered doing) an S body?

I've imagined one that has a bit less taper (= more wood), a maple cap, and then maybe chambered body. Or with the basic s shape, but maybe the back more full like an RG with tummy cut and the top arched like an S.

Thoughts?
