Exclamation Have you guys heard of this guitar?

A long time ago my teacher traded this guitar with me for my RG350EX. He said that this guitar sounds and feels better and I thought so too. Now I'm looking for the specs of this guitar. I searched all around the net and nothing appeared. I went to the authorized Ibanez dealer here in my area and they said it's either very rare or counterfeit. It has a non-floating tremolo bridge, a Duncan/Ibanez neck pickup, it's made in korea and it came with a hardcase. The guitar model is RG270SE. It's serial number is CP04030741. I even looked at the serial number at the internet and i dont think it matched any of the guides because of the letters "CP." So, now I'm quite in a dilemma. I don't know if my guitar is fake or not. BTW, I don't have pictures of it. Please try to help. Thank You.

Re: Have you guys heard of this guitar?

why would he trade for an inferior guitar in the first place unless he was trying to offload a dirty little secret? seems a bit odd. upload pics.

Re: Have you guys heard of this guitar?

for the most part, the fakes out there are all copies of high end guitars. I seriously doubt your RD270SE was a fake, as they're not worth much to begin with. Did it have one of those fancy tops, like a quilt or sapele or something? Anyway, your dealer may not have info on it because it was a low end guitar that might not have been available in the Phillipines. I wouldn't worry about it at all, but I think your guitar teacher definitely got the better guitar here if he ended up with your RG350 and you got an RG270 out of the trade.
