Help Choosing New Guitar (JEMJR vs RG450DXB)

I want to buy either the Jem Jr or RG450DXB. Was wondering which would be the better option for functions, play ability, and quality. I've seen a lot of complaints about fret buzz and tuning issues with the Jem Jr. I've seen less complaints with the RG/DX's. The Jem is $100 more, but not sure if would be worth that. Was also wondering what the differences were between the Jem Jr and the RG540DXB, apart from mere looks and monkey grip.

I'm a leftie, so I don't have many options.

The differences will likely be aesthetic, so it comes down to what you want to spend and the looks.

The RG450DXB and JEM JR are basically the same thing. I think you hear more complaints on the JEM JR because its probably more popular in this forum. But if you like the JEM JR looks I would go for it. Its worth it if you are a JEM fan. It is a fun thing to play even just for the JEM Aesthetics.

What about the bridges? I've read the RG450DX has an Edge-Zero II, but not sure how that compares with the Jem Jr. And the pickup, not sure which is really better.

The latest iteration of the 450 doesn't come with the Edge Zero II, it comes with the same bridge as the Jem Jnr.

Hm... Guitar Center says the RG450 has Edge Zero II bridge.

Both sweetwater and guitar center list the same pickups and standard trem on the spec pages for both guitars. Not sure what you are looking at.

Unless it's new old stock, or used, that is incorrect. Remember the old saying, just because something is on the internet doesn't make it true. Go look at the Ibanez site.

Besides, the photo doesn't show an Edge Zero II, shows the same one on the Jnr, STD-DL or whatever it is.

They have both bridges in that page lol, GC is just not updating their pages or misinformed, even the picture and video show the standard. In anycase the standard in my opinion is better because you can switch it for an original Floyd Rose down the line something not easy to do with the Edge Zero. So in cas eof doubt I would still go with the JEM JR.

Anyway in the end if you are super unsure, go and try them both if possible and grab the one you like more. If not deffer to the looks you like more.

What's a better option? I'm working with $600 max, and I'm left handed.
