Help: ID of this early 90īs model

Hello, I need help identifying this model. It has an Edge and all the small switches of an early 540, but the larger dot fret marks and the "custom made" inlay make me believe its a later model. What year and exact model is this? Thanks!!

It is an S540 that has been modded. It should have came stock with a 5way switch and no mini toggles.

Re: Help: ID of this early 90īs model

Its hard to tell with the little pics but are the set of three switches on a plastic riser piece? If so I would say its a later model that had the switches installed where the 5 way normally goes. If it were an early one the pickups would be the normal ibz/usa not the f2 c2 set, Also the 88's had the volume and tone closer together. If Im not mistaken the custom made logo started showing up in 90 so thats probably the best bet. What is the serial number on the neck plate?

edit:looks like while I was typing Cosmic beat me to it...but yeah. Should be a 90 or 91 most likely, I think they went to lo pros in 92.

Thanks. This is the serial number: F024096.
So you believe that it is some sort of a hibrid and that it has been modified. That sucks, I thought it was stock...

So that makes it a 90 model. Seems stock except for the mini switches vs a 5way and of course the two extra minis between the volume and tone knob.
