Help ID - is this really a Prestige?

Thanks in advance - wondering if this is really the model number as he says and why it's seemingly cheap...

Re: Help ID - is this really a Prestige?

I think the only thing Prestige he is selling is the case. Otherwise it is an Inodnesian guitar w/Wizard II neck and Edge 3 tremolo... none of which would describe a Prestige model Ibanez. His price is a little high for that model, judging by ebay prices. Interesting guitar though! Nice finish on it.

Re: Help ID - is this really a Prestige?

Exactly as Fire said, my prestiges all have the logo that looks like this on the back of the headstock:

Made By Japan
TEAM J. Craft
Fxxxxxxx
Made in Japan

There are no boxes on the rear of the headstock apart from the compliance logo to the left of the above. On the front of the headstock Prestige have a "Prestige" above the Ibanez logo also.

So whether it was sold to him as a prestige unknowingly or he's trying to pull a fast one avoid it. In such cases on local ads I give the seller the benifit of the doubt and a heads up that all is not well, if they ignore it I presume they're a scam artist and contact the company hosting the ads.

That would actually be a cool guitar to have if you could get it between $250 and $300......

The guy has all the specs right, it's just not a prestige.
