Help identifying a rg please.

Well, I went to my local guitar center and they had a rg that i believed to be a 550, I will do my best to remember the specs.

It had what i believe to be a edge tremolo, but it looked kinda like a matte color.

It had a kinda silverish purple finish that matched the headstock.

The pickguard was like a clear kinda purple color, the fretboard inlays seemed to match this material.Had rosewood fretboard.

It had a AANJ and it had a bubinga stripe down the neck.
It had V7,V8 and S1 pickups.

and all i remember from the serial was a F1xxxxx
Edit: it had i guess to be metal dome knobs.(is that what they are called?)

Thanks in advance guys.

pic would help a little better, for now, my best bet on the RG 550 LTD.

Re: Help identifying a rg please.

I don't understand the F1xxxxx serial number as the '92 550DX I recently got has the old-style heel and maple dot neck with a F1xxxxxx serial number... whatever the condition is, you should snag it quick

Re: Help identifying a rg please.

The original and re-issue RG550 modles have the old-style neck joint with the neck-plate...those kick ass. The one you are wondering about may be a 90s-era 550 of some ilk.

I have not seen any of these anywhere except for this one. They were only found in Uk catalogs I believe too.
