help me ID this Ibanez please

Hey guys, this guitar is up at my dad's house right now. This is an older picture of it. It has 2 humbuckers, they are coverless, the hardware is all in black, and one volume, one tone knob, if I remember correctly, and the input is on the top, not coming out the side. The guitar has a white binding all the way around the body and the pickups are some of the best I've ever heard on a guitar. I've looked at hundreds of other roadstars and can't find any that are black with white binding, coverless pickups and one volume one tone knob. Any help is appreciated. Also the red on the headstock is from a marker my uncle used lol. The only guitars I've seen that look similar are the rs335,rs530,rs1300. Thanks in advance...now if only I can figure out how to attach an image, wth?

Re: help me ID this Ibanez please

Would be nice if you had a pic of the back of the headstock. The serial number should be there, that would tell us what year it was made.

Re: help me ID this Ibanez please

I wanna say it's an 84 or 85 year model. These had the serial number on the neck plate, not the back of the headstock.

Unable to get any other pics right now. The only thing i can think you will get from it is what year it is. Can anyone look at the guitars configuration and tell me what it is?

Have you tried taking off the neck and looking in the neck joint? I don't know about that era of Roadstars, but I know on later RGs the model number was stamped on the inside.

When I get back home I will probably take the neck off and look. Going to be a couple weeks though

Re: help me ID this Ibanez please

The thing that throws me off is the IBZ/USA pickups. I looked through the 80s catalogs and I found similar models but nothing with the IBZ/USA pups. Maybe it's a transitional RG560? Maybe a 760? i'm at a loss based on the headstock and pups.

Looks HH on the pic, the rest of the pics are clearly of a different guitar.
This is some sort of RS (RS335 controls and binding and RS530 pickup configuration and neck) that could have been limited number or something.

By the way the pickups also look exactly as they are supposed to so I don't understand what do you mean by coverless pickups? That's to the OP not MatiasTolkki.

Re: help me ID this Ibanez please

If I looked at the catalogs correctly,
RS5xx and above have 24 frets (Roadstar deluxe)
This one has 22 frets that's for a Roadstar standard (RS1-4xx)
Whatever the PU config is
