Here's something you don't see everyday,

This is the only Ibanez James Byrd has left from his endorsment days (86-1992ish).

What model shape is this called, looking for some more info on it for me to add to Byrd's website.

The neck is scalloped and I had a chance to play it when I stayed at Byrd's in June. Its plays remarkbly well despite the fact that James reckoned he had not played it in over 10 years!!

I kind of like it, its something different you know. The body shape is roughly like the radius. Roughly putting things minorly though. You have any more pics?

I don't have any more snaps, but I can say the body is not too thin, certainly not in the S Series stalkes, the satch is quite close to it.

It is a very small body and the neck is wafer thin with incerdible upper fret access.

Found this on the Vinnie Moore website, its one of his sig models and it looks more or less identical to me although the neck is different.

Looks like a vintage Strat copy body with an Edge and pointy head neck.
