NGD - 550 LB (a few posts down)

Hello again everyone -

Please check this out for me. He has agreed to $425 and it looks like a really nice guitar. Obviously no one can say if it would be worth the money without seeing it, but assuming it is in good shape, is this reasonable? Thanks to all in advance for help!

Re: Hey all- Should I snag this 570?

In the last month there were 4 sold on the bay. Low=$275 , high=$320. I'd say his offer price is $100 too high. Silver is not a very desirable color.

Did the market crash on used Ibanezes or something? They were more expensive before...

Re: Hey all- Should I snag this 570?

Well the one on eBay was $400 shipped with case, that I saw anyway... I don't know how you guys know what has happened in the last month, but there is a blue 550 that I also am offering on and would rather have, so I guess I am not too worried. Thanks again for the help...

Re: Hey all- Should I snag this 570?

Just found a blue 550 and sealed the deal with case for $475. Seems reasonable, but not cheap!

Awesome! Sometimes it's worth a few more dollars to get what you really want. Value is arbitrary.

Congrats! Post a pic when you can...

Re: Hey all- Should I snag this 570?

I think $425 is a little high but they are great playing guitars... I bought my sour apple RG570 for $400 a couple of years ago.
The super wizard neck is pretty sweet.

Re: Hey all- Should I snag this 570?

Well, it's funny because the guy with the 570 wouldn't drive to meet me - he said I needed to go all the way out to where he was. All of a sudden, the guy who told me the 550 was sold writes back and says his buyer is going back and forth... funny how these things work. So anyway I may be overpaying for a 550 at $475, but I don't care! It all evens out as the last one I bought was so cheap.

IMO, anything under $550 for a great condition RG5xx is a great deal. I wouldn't hesitate if I really liked the model, color, and condition. Sure, comparable guitars can be found for less, but you never know when or where....

Well, I wouldn't call it great condition, but I would say it is good to very good. Couple of big dingers, but overall clean and straight:
