Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year! - ... i'n

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (gently! gently!! ), but isn't it the 15th anniversary of the introduction of the Jem and RG? I thought they were introduced at the Summer NAMM 1987... I don't suppose Ibanez has anything planned along the lines of special edition to celebrate?

...Oh damn, how'd I manage that! Sorry Glen/admins! Wrong area! :loco: *Please move for me, I won't repost

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

I believe that you're correct...but I seriously that there will be anything special from Ibanez. *Typically, the 15th Anniversary really has no significance. *10, 25, 50...those are usually the only "real" anniversaries-the ones that show some kind of significance. *Besides...I'm sure that if anything were to be introduced, it would have been at the Winter NAMM a couple of weeks ago (hardly anything of importance is ever introduced in Nashville. )

Nevertheless...happy B-Day to everybody's favorite Pointy Strat!

Well considering there's RG talk in here too I think it can stay here as far as I'm concerned (unless someone HAS moved it )

Yeah, I don't think there'll be anything this year. *Here's hoping for something REALLY cool in the JEM25. * *Oh, and why was there no UV10th?

Oh, and why was there no UV10th?
Because we got Y2K models.

I had a little talk about this with a rep at NAMM, they decided there had been enough *Anniversary* models of late and another was not needed or would be overkill. Remember it's also Hosh USA's 30th Anniversary too.

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

That would make sense. *I wish they'd do SOMETHING though. *I mean, can you imagine a UV version of the 90th? * *<-- Why is this not yet an emoticon!?! *WE NEED A DROOL EMOTICON!! lol *

That would explain why the PGM10th seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. I do hope they release that though. Not that I want one, but I think PG and PG fans deserve it.

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

The PGM10th HAS been released...just not in North America. *There were only 50 made, and were all for European/Japanese markets. *The price was right too! *Just under $1500.00 US I think.

There's a PGM10th advertised at Machinehead in Hitchin England.

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

I'm glad it is being made. It just *seemed* to have fallen off the face of the earth. I know several people that entered to 'win' one, and after the date was moved back a couple of times, never heard anything more.

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

I'd like to see an anniversary model every year, of some sort. Doesn't Fender and Gibson have one every year for something?

(10 anniversary Squire, 15 anniversary from the day Leo left, 25 from the day etc......)

I think Ibanez does the best job of anniversary guitars, why not do more? I know, I know, over saturate the market and no one will care :cough:PRS :cough:

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

From what I gathered from pablo there is only one PGM 10th left for sale in this country as 5/6 that are coming in are already sold...

Shame about no UV10th, that would have been good! In fact, a UV10th is different because it celebrates a whole new kind of acceptance and mainstreaming etc of 7 strings...

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

I think they should have done an anniversary RG, seeing as how that's my favorite model and it's one of their most popular lines outside of Jems and JS's

Hey, it's the Jem/RG's 15th anniversary this year!

we should party for the Edge's anniversary: after 15-16 years no one has been able to realize something better.
