Re: High quality (flame or quilt)

quoted from an article in another thread:

"Notice how every company has their own PRS? For the last 15 years it has been a prerequisite in the guitar world. Everyone must have their own PRS or you cannot call yourself a guitar company. You know the overly exaggerated flamed, quilted, intestine-looking, vomit-inducing, unnatural atrocities with the inch thick plastic condom over it..."

Hehe, gimme cheap, subtle, beautiful flames anyday and ill be happy

Re: High quality (flame or quilt)

I say Flame, but its got to be a good top, if its very wild flame it can be beautiful. if its just another regular old flame top then blahhhh.. But flame can just be so stunning if you find the right piece of wood.

Flamed maple... I like quilted but flames have appearance as good as q.m. by the way it is said that q.m. is softer than flamed.

Johm Suhr has probably some of the most absolute stunning quilt tops I think I've ever seen.
