I left permanently. I had my differences. Nice to see you here, though.

*shrug* sorry to hear, dude - just glad you didn't sell your soul and buy a six or something. Good to see you're still evidently alive and kicking, though.

i have the Ax7221 (24.75 scale) and with .60 strings the A is really floppy too. What gauge do you use or recommend? When Ibanez still sold AXs they said that the through body stringing increases string tension. Would my string-through 24.75 would have same or very milar tension to a trem 25.5 guitar?

Unless I'd get a baritone six and tune it in fifths (F C G D A E), I'm staying right where I am. I'm looking at eights for the moment...

.60 is too small on 24.75 IMHO, what gauge are the rest of the strings? I would go up in size definitely, but not at the risk of unbalancing the feel against the other 6 strings by a lot. Ive seen a few guys that use super light gauge strings and something enormous like a .70 for a b/a which seems a little silly to me.

The feel difference for me in 24.75 vs. 25.5 is not huge, but its there.

I know there's a joke here somewhere.

Re: How do you feel about 26.5" scale??

My Schecter Hellraiser 7 has a 26.5" scale.... this has been my sole axe for about a year now and I can't imagine owning any other axe. At first I tuned to A standard but then I began experimenting with thicker strings and I now tune to G standard... and the extended scale + thicker strings (daddario medium baritone) lend themselves incredibly well to loooooow tunings.
