Now I don't care for the Wizard necks at all... but I know plenty of folks DO.

I am still sort of in shock.

Jeeeez, can't believe that went that cheap. All the while people are paying 2k a ticket for Justin Timberlake tickets in my city tonight... What has the world come to?

Simple, it's not really a known PG guitar, is it? If he'd put up the orange PGM it wouldn't have gone for that price.

That, and Mr Big was definitely not one of Paul's career highlights from the true fan perspective even though it was probably his biggest paychecks.

Not taking anything away from paul, but that band SUCKED!!!

Uh, Mr Big is awesome man. I dont listen to them all that much but all 4 of them are AMAZING musicians. They aren't metal, they are hard rock and that's the way it should be.

Makes sense but still that's a little surprising. If that was one of Vai's backup guitars from a 1994 tour, it'd have gone for an easy five figures, you know?

I wasnt saying they arent good musicians. I AM SAYING that Mr Big was nothing more than commercialized marketing crap that disgraced the fanfare of Paul Gilbert's origins in "Racer X" which was completely different stuff of a much more technical nature that Gave and continues to give Gilbert his identity.

As a Fan of what Racer X was doing, Mr Big and their 14 year old girl songs was a complete letdown.

I doubt it. All he has is a drawing. Nothing super legit. I would pay like 1-2 for it at the most.

I love Mr. Big for the simple fact that every time "To Be With You" comes on the radio, I can say, "You know, funny thing about this band..."

Also, I'll now improve this thread:

This kills me.

Maybe Paul should have had his armpit hair put into the paint or something.
