How would Evo(neck) and Evo(bridge) sound?

If you installed DiMarzio in my Ibanez in replcement of the stock pickups(one in neck one in bridge) would it sound any good, considering there is no middle pickup?

Dude, we need more info here... Evos are great PUs (I think I prefer PAF Pros), but they are high output, and the wood is going to make a substantial difference. What kind of Ibanez are you talking about, and what's it made out of?

i replaced the stock pickups in one of my rg's and the evo's sound real stratty, lots of high end, so i went back to the PAF pros and i'm much happier. i'ts all trial and error, just keep tinkering until you are happy!

Well, alot of people complain about the EVO in the bridge. They say it is way too harsh. I have to agree as well, it is a bit shrill for my liking. But we really do need more information. What sort of stuff do you play? If you play alot of metal you may prefer the Breeds, do you want a certain persons tone e.g. Petrucci, Satch?

Do a search and have a look around. There are tonnes of topics about different pickup combinations and whats worked well for people. My favourite all time pickup still has to be the ToneZone though - I love those damn things!

agree with Vash and Gary, Evos are too trebling for my ears, i prefer way too much the ToneZone, the Super Distortion and the Breeds. they have lots of basses, fleshy mids and rounded-out trebles. my ears are thanking me...

God, all this talk of "fleshy mids" and "rounded-out trebles" - people who were just reading this would be amazed we were talking about pickups.

actually i got this insisting idea roaming my mind some months now: to eat a DiMarzio pickup.
you know, i've got this old, used, abused, kinda oily and rusty 2-conductors Super Distortion that stimulates my appetite anytime i look at it. i really think i'll gulp it out one of these days...
