I dig my new Jetking

Traded an RGT42 (just couldn't get into the Floyd Rose) for an Ibanez Jetking in Butterscotch TRansparent. I really am enjoying this guitar. It's got a great old school, Teisco/Silvertone vibe to it and played loud on stage, it didn't squeal with the stock pickups in it which made me very happy! The neck has a nice worked in feel to it with a nice radius. The coil taps are decent but that's typically not my thing. Pretty much always been a humbucker man. And I just love that it's got the old spaghetti logo on it. That pretty much sealed the deal with me. It's such a delightfully trashy guitar

i don't have one, but i've played several, and .. AGREED!

fantastic, trashy, nifty, beatable, guilt-free, eminently shredable guitars.

I love mine too, its a good alternative to the Floyds and for the $$$ I paid, you can't beat it.
Bamm my Gibson 63' Melody Maker and my Jet king; retro and reto-trashy, gotta love it !

I love those JetKings, shame there arent too many in the UK.

Whats the neck like on them? I gather it isnt ultra thin like a super wizard or anything?

Kind of a hybrid in thickness. It isn't like the Strat baseball bat necks, nor is it as 'clubby' as a Les Paul. I guess a slightly beefier radius neck would sum it up, still very managable and you can still rip on it if you want.

I tried a jet king at my local music store and i didnt like it at all the neck was weird feeling, the pickups sounded like crap, and i think its just ugly IMO.

so what?

Dude how could you diss the jetking????? The thing is awesome.....I guess it kinda appeals to different crowds...I like vintage, old school type stuff that why I love it, but I guess if your into new stuff and you need a pretty guitar then well its not for you...But seriously who cares how a guitar looks???well maybe if your into like N-sync you might want a pretty guitar...haha........

The Gibson is a solid sounding guitar despite its size.
I use it mainly for Dropped D tunings and it does well.
