HAH!

+1....

If it were me, I'd be going used for sure. A lot better bang for your buck.

But since new is your preference, anything that doesn't have an Edge III and you'll be golden.

Re: I have 1200

I'm with Nato on this, 1200 is a lot of moolah to have to play with, in fact you could actually buy 2 used Prestige Ibanez in good condition with that sort of money. But if it's a new guitar you're looking the buck stops there I suppose. There are a lot of guitars to consider for that sort of money and not just Prestige, hell not just Ibanez either, lol!!!

What are you looking for in guitar specwise, wood, pups, trem, style etc???

Re: I have 1200

I'd say go with the 4 digits RG prestige, find the highest number you can find on your distributor web site..

Hate to be mean, but if we sold a guitar in my shop, somebody took it home then brought it back because they 'didn't like it', we'd be quite put out.

Trading standards laws also state that they wouldn't have to take it back. Provided it does what it says it will and is 'fit for purpose', there's no law saying you are entitled to a refund.

With Second hand gear, provided you buy the right thing at the right price, you can be damn near certain you could sell it for what you paid. If you're cheeky (like me ;-) ) you might even make a sneakey profit here or there.

You could buy any number of decent JEMs for that, and older Ibanez stuff totally bombs in value as soon as it's second hand. Once the guitars depreciate they keep their 'blue book' value.
