I just bought a second 1527

04 BP RG1527

Just bought this bashed up beauty

EVIL BAY 7415303224

I'm going down to get her tomorow.

I'm thinking of installing Duncan JB / JAZZ to have a contrast to my current CB 1527 W/ Blaze Custom and Air Norton 7

Any suggestions for her name?

Re: I just bought a second 1527

Hey Spike: congratz on the new one!
I'm using the JB/Jazz combo on my Custom 7 and it sounds awesome!
Much more vivid than my stock 91' UVPWH.
Cheers,

Re: I just bought a second 1527

Congrats on the new guitar!
Are you gonna use different tunings as well?
Do you like the BC/AN combo on your first 1527? I have a TZ/AN on my 470 and I'm thinking on doing the same on my 1527. How does the BC sound?

Re: I just bought a second 1527

Thanks a bunch, erm I think Ill keep the tunning the same really.

As for the BC, Tone wise I place it between a Blaze and a Tone Zone. It has slightly less harmoics up and down the fretboard and is very mid heavy. Good for lead from the bridge, sound nice split, not so tight on rhythm, but the Low B definition is good. Nicer cleans that blaze, sounds more natural in that respect.

Drives a tube amp pretty hard, naturally, I have mine set up quite close to the strings, and with the gain turned town on the amp the sound tightens up somewhat.

All in all, the pickup can do dirty like the tonezone, but can get quite controlled and sensible too, It really responds to your touch. Quite warm, not so bright.

Hope that helps.
