I just got the rg1527 about an hour ago...(first impression)

I just bought the black pearl rg1527 about an hour ago.
I always want to have one but I have no idea what I'm gonna do with it until I played...It's sound quite fine but I plan to replace the pickups soon.
It's not difficult like I imagine.I thought it's might be the big problem for me(my hand quite small) but it's not.
the tremolo is smooth as usual(ibanez)
touching and strings hight are perfect.
It's might inspired me somehow to do something different,I hope.
Great great guitar.
Gosh,I can't wait to go back home and play it again tonight.

I've heard good things about both of those pickups, should work great Can't really go wrong with any DiMarzio or Seymour-Duncan or other big-name (EMG, Lundgren, etc) pickups though, it's really up to personal preferences as to what kind of sound you're looking for.

In the words of les paul all pickups are just more and less winding, and single coils and humbuckers. More turns of the wire, less turns of the wire, quit griping . Something along those lines at least.

keep in mind that the evo7 is very different than the 6 string evo.
i tried an evo 7 in a 7621 and it sounded very scooped, im talkin scooped like someone brought in a shovel and took out the mids, but if thats your sound then thats awesome

I have a Lundgren Model M in mine now, but it's kind of scooped, which isn't really what I'm looking for. I'm about to put an EVO 7 in. I hope it'll be "middy." It looks like it on the website. With basswood, I'd recommend something with more mids, personally.

I'm looking for the pickup which respond everything.I'm not looking for the pafish sounding.
I think the evo7 can do that.
And blaze ...umm..I just want to upgrade the sound quality.
I plan to change switch and pots too.
Thank you everyone for comment.

I have a Tone Zone in my 7420 and it sounds very close to the Dream Theater Images and Words tone, if that helps. Very thick with a smooth top end - it has treble but not 'harsh' treble like an Evo.
