Ok, Help me choose you people with knowledge about RGs.

Heres what I am considering.

1) Ibanez RG550EX Silverdust or Dark Grey( with mirror protection is that what its called?)

Price around $950.

2) Ibanez RG570EX same colours same price.

3) Ibanez RG620QM (with V7/V8 pickups) in Darkred/Brown for $995.

Now if you were me which of these would you choose?

Thanks .

Out of those three I'd take and RG550EX. Personally I prefer to play a guitar with a scratchplate and this is the only real reason why, I'm also a little more partial I think to the Silver Sand finish

If you get one of these three, the RG570EX the RG550EX or the RG620, then think about saving a little extra money up to change the bridge pickup too. The stock ones are ok, but these guitars tend to be let down by the pickups they come with.

However if you fancy trying to get hold of an RG3120 from overseas from somewhere like ebay, find out what sorts of tax or other fees importing will mean you'll have to pay.

Go for a RG3120. I picked up one with a case for $975. This is my player now. I also have a 570 and I agree with Jono about the pickups. If you cant find one, let me know and I will get you in contact with a guy who can get you set up.

I would definitely get the RG620QM. That guitar is awesome, if we got those in the states I would probably have two by now.

He lives in Sweden. Its not easy to get good guitars there, thats why the prices are high. hell have to pay list or more for a 3120 or other guitar, unless he smuggles it in. lol

Hang around on the gmf.se buy/sell forum for a while. You might not find so many JEMs or 3120's there, but the occational RG5xx will definitly show up. There was a $450 RG570 posted there two days ago.
