Ibanez 1980s Early 90s Hardtail

Hi

I need a new Hardtail guitar - I have a Epiphone Les Paul but never play it as don't like the shape and its soooo heavy - are there any 80's / early 90's ones out there for about the same money as I could sell me Epiphone - approx 250 or $375

I had my eye on a Custom Blazer 1981 and 2 humbuckers - are these any good??

Any help welcomed

Funny thing is... I was just looking at this guitar because of another thread:

It's a 2000 SCA220 and is one amazing instrument.... I think it's the predecessor to the SZ series which would also be a very good choice for your needs.

Here's the SCA:

And the original ad from 2001:

If you want something with Better quality than an Epi LP you could look at a new rg321. I have one and people put down the MII's but it's not bad. Above the Epi's I've seen.
Wizard II neck Mahogany body, rosewood board. only real problem is the pick-ups but their not horrible.

I'll second this!! I really like the MII hardtails!!
They're a lot of bang for the buck

The S-classics are nice, and can be gotten fairly inexpensively. I'd also recommend the RG421, which can also be found for < $200 typically.

yeah, i'd payed 300 new for my 321mh in Blackberry burst. Every time I see a Mahogany oil one I wish I had that but they didn't have any new ones in that color.

I second the Rg321 Suggestion. Or even better, I suggest the RG3EXFM1, its like an RG321 but with matching flamed maple headstock and basswood body and has binding on the body and neck. I just now bought one and replaced the bridge pickup with a crunch lab. It sounds and looks kick ass!

I actually prefer the sound of the infinities to the sound of the stock epi pups, and I HATE the sound of the infinities.
