Ibanez 750 jack plug cavity cover/plate

Hi

I've got an Ibanez 750 body that I am creating as a custom guitar.
I've tried looking for a spec sheet literally everywhere but I can't find one, Ibanez.com only seems to go back to 2000 for it's parts list.

I am searching hard for a jack plug cavity cover/plate for the guitar.
I bought one for the 550 hoping it would fit (before the body arrived) but it's not the same shape in the slightest. The problem is the 750 has a front routed hole for electronics etc so only has 1 input jack plate on the back, which seems to be an irregular shape.

I've easily found the code (and actually have a plate) for the diamond/rectangular shaped input jack plate for 550s and other rear routed guitars but needless to say it does not fit.
Through lack of finding a schematic / parts list for a 750 I can't get a code or source a plate for this 750.

If anyone can help me out then please let me know!
Thanks a lot

That's so weird, because I never noticed that the 750 had a different jack cover until you pointed it out. I went and checked my 750, and sure enough - weird jack cover.

PM me your address and I'll happily send you a tracing, if you need it.

Amazing, all the way from the states and it's not even cut properly.

That's the same as the RG550 covers.

Oh dear.

Like I said earlier, just make it yourself from a cheap black plastic garbage bin. Follow that tutorial.

Re: Ibanez 750 jack plug cavity cover/plate

Yo gpenguins, I know it's the same as the RG550 cover
The body of the 750 was identical to the 550, the differences being pickups and a slightly different neck if I recall.
So by ordering a back plate for a 550, I'd kinda expect this to fit a 550 body.
No reply from the guy on **** yet... we'll see eh.

I'd attempt to cut the plate back myself but I'm not sure the screw hole on the right hand side actually aligns properly, plus I've actually got nothing to cut it with and wouldn't really be confident of getting it right.

Rather just be sent one that actually fits!

How much bigger is it? Could you maybe sand a little off the edges?
