Looks good if you're in to 6 string RGs!
I wish they had some 7s, JEMs and UVs.

You can't have it all I guess.

RG 7's aren't old enough to be reissued

As for Jem's & UVs reissues - i think financially it would be a home run for ibanez, i would simply buy em all!

p.s. it seems to me that premium uv is not a successful idea, reissue that is cheaper and not really a reissue... don't like it and have not met a lot of folks who are happy with it.

its a possibility (and a high one at that) that these will remain a japan only model before we lose out sh*t we should wait for confirmation from Rich that they will be sold in the US/world.

it looks that way, since description is only in Japanese. anyways, when have that stopped anyone from getting a guitar... if that is not a super limited run, i see no problem.

Re: Ibanez Genesis collection - the best thing ever

Those look really nice. The 670 looks great but is a little confusing to me, since that was more of a 90's thing, but it's still a beautiful guitar. The mahogany one reminds me a lot of the RBM2.

It would be sweet to see them continue with these, provided that the first models are successful, which I assume they will be. It would be super cool to see them reissue some of the Roadstar Pro guitars.

Block heels and original edges. I know they are popular... but not my cup of tea.

That's a whole lotta awesome! I wonder how off Violet Chameleon is from Purple Neon.
And it looks like they reissued the 20th Rg550's? I honestly don't care if would devalue mine. The RG550 in general should be a standard-run Ibanez guitar the same way a Fender Strat is. Original Edge tremlo, V2/S1/V1 pickups, and titanium reinforced super wizard. Sure, I like the modern RG1550, 2550, and 3550 flavors but the original should always be available in some form IMO. I don't know how cost-effective that would be. It seems a lot of dealers are sitting on a few years of unsold guitars.

that's exactly it. And even if you call Ibanez directly, there's no guarantee you'll get the color you want. Basically it's first come first serve reservation. Let's say they only decide to make 20 of each color. If 20 different guitar shops from all over Japan call and put the money down on the color you want before you call in, you're screwed.
