Ibanez GRG270

Guys need your help.

Can I change my current bridge which is the ILT1 and change it to any
Floydrose original Trem or any licensed floydrose? without doing something to the body?

thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Ibanez GRG270

Go for a Floyd Rose or licenced one. I'd recommend the Gotoh Floyd Rose licenced trem

Re: Ibanez GRG270

Thanks for the info LonePhantom

it seems that the gotoh one has a knife edge on the other end and on the other side is curved same
with the ILT1's.Can the orignal floyd/copy still fits with this ibanez? with curves on both side?

thanks

Re: Ibanez GRG270

I've fit both the Gotoh and a cheapie Floyd Rose copy on to my RG470 with no problems, it should be fine.

Re: Ibanez GRG270

I'd still say the Gotoh one, better sustain and smoother. Gotoh build Ibanez's MIJ trems like the Edge, lo-pro, edge pro. It's a great quality trem and cheaper than the OFR.

Re: Ibanez GRG270

I'd just leave the studs that are already there in. Ibanez made their studs slightly larger so changing them is a little fiddly. You'll be right with the exisiting ones. Saying that the ILT1 studs may be smaller.

Don't worry too much if they stay, having the better double locking trem will make a lot of difference regardless.
