Ibanez hardcase

Well, uhm.. I'm looking for model name(s) for these cases..

Especially the ones with number-combo-locks which is mostly black with gold hardware (From pics I've seen).. I think those fits RG550/ 770/ 5000.. And possibly the JEMs too..

They cases are possibly about the same shape as the case for the RG20th, I think, from pics I've seen.. One exception, of course, the lock being a combo-lock, not key-lock.. Though I don't know if they exist with key-lock..

I guess it's different sizes of these cases, but I've mentioned the ones I need it to fit the most..

Re: Ibanez hardcase

The combo cases were for the Jems and UVs.
The other cases were for the RGs--the M100C case.

Re: Ibanez hardcase

Thank you for the reply

So the RGs don't have a case that looks like the RG20th-case?

For somereason I never liked the M100C-case because it's the completely wrong shape..

But I guess I could use the JEM1000C-case for RGs too?

And then there is the UV1000C-case which I obviously don't want

And then there's these RG550LC.. I know it's not for RGs, but I thought Ibanez made a case similar to that for the RGs.. (Did Ibanez have the head up the ass when they named the case?)

But I guess my best bet would be the JEM1000C as I don't like the M100C

Edit: I found a picture of a case used for RG (550).. I hope the person who took the pic don't mind me borrowing it..

The inside of it is dark red, and it's got a combo-lock..

Re: Ibanez hardcase

That's not a typical RG case.
The old RGs came with an Ibanez Professional Deluxe case, then switched a few years down the road.
They all had the typical twisting latches with the middle latch to accept a padlock.
The later versions had the loop latches.
That case you posted is a typical Jem case after the pink-lined cases.

Re: Ibanez hardcase

And the newer JEM-case is called JEM1000C too?

Anyways that ansewers my question, to use the JEM-case for RGs..
As it's got the right shape as I want and actually fits them.. Guess it fits all RGs..

Seems these cases come with pink plush (the original JEM case), dark red (newer JEM case)

I'm new to the case-facts, so I try to learn all I can and find the ones I'll need, and then there is the knowledge, which is valuable and I'm interested in learning everything possible

Could you provide pictures of twisting latch vs loop latch? Made me curious..

Thank you, AB

Edit: Salmon interior too..

How can I tell the JEM1000C from UV1000C on pictures, when their only difference is 1" (saw in a thread here)?

Edit 2: I borrowed GilkyBear's picture;

Re: Ibanez hardcase

Burgundy inside with a dark Pink logo and Gold combo lock is a UV1000C case.

They are for JEMs, RGs or UVs, since very few Ibanez guitars come with cases.

That is correct, The UV1000C is a perfect fit for ALL 6 or 7 string RG's

The RG550LC is also a great case for RG's. I have three of them.

Re: Ibanez hardcase

That's mainly what I was hoping for

RG550LC for the RG350/ RG550/ RG5000/ RG770 and other

JEM1000C for JEMs (All same shape..? Except for the neck..?)

UV1000C for all, though I guess I won't need that now that I know the previously 2 mentioned cases fits all..

Could you provide a pic of an RG in the RG550LC? Just so that I can see that it fits perfectly.. Or you could just confirm.. Though that was sort of what you did ^^,

I saw another place that some guitars in the RG550LC that the headstock and neck presses the lid up, but I guess that's not the case with the RGs in the RG550LC

Edit: JEMs would fit the RG550LC too?

Another edit: And then there's the RG140C that's the same shape as the RG20th-case too..

Re: Ibanez hardcase

RGs, Jems and UVs all have the same body shape--it will fit.

I have a Professional Deluxe case for my RT. I love it. It has the cutout for the RG shape and the twisting latches.

Necroing this old thread cuz I had a question on Jem Cases and this thread had the perfect pic.
In the pic above there are 3 different color interiors, do these indicated the year range they were produced or the possible model of Jem they would have went with?

Re: Ibanez hardcase

Center is an 87' specific case only. Left and right are UV1000's from 90' on. I think the salmon cases are just bad fabric. I've had a couple that had telltale signs they were actually regular pink to begin with, but I am speculating.
