I hate trying out a guitar in a store. It's too bad you can't live with some guitars for a few days before buying. Sometimes the "I need to buy this" thing strikes right away and sometimes it doesn't.

Looks superb! Really attracted to the fan fret idea and is not 1000's to buy.

Sure build quality is going to be a bit poor being not made in Japan, but because it's Ibanez the fan frets and intonation will be spot on.

Those EMG pickups are likely to be lifeless and sterile sounding, pity changing active to passive on this guitar would be difficult as there is no singular bridge to earth else I would stuff Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentients in it with coil taps

Can't seem to find any in stock anywhere in the UK did find one shop in Germany but they won't respond to my emails!!

I only want to buy one, seems no one in the UK is chomping at the bit to have them in, but the well made but pointless RG9 is available in spades!

So I will have to buy blind and fingers crossed it will be as good as I think it is, maybe it's time I moved to the US of A?

I wouldn't move to the USA just for an indo-Ibanez. But then again, I can think of plenty more reason's not to move to the USA from the UK.

Hopefully the market catches up. I know their a demand for these, at least online forums make me believe that to be the case.

I'm glad to hear stores are stocking the fanned fret models.

As for the EMG 808x's, I think they are one of best pickups I've ever used. When I bought them, I had to buy them blind...or deaf so to speak...because no guitar had them as stock pickups. I'm happy with them and I recommend people really give them a serious try.

For me, my EMGs are my best sounding pups (81/60). Unfortunately they are also the most noisy ones under stronger LF EMF.
